CONCRETE INFORMATION
YOU WANT SOME CONCRETE INFORMATION. YOU GOT IT!!

-
WE ALLOW our post concrete to set for about 4-7 days and then we come back to finish the install. Concrete is mixed with water then poured for higher strength.
-
WHY??For example it is a bad idea to drive on a new poured driveway until it has cured for at least a week.
-
Concrete will not set up properly and will have little potential of meeting its strength upon cure requirements IF POURED DRY AND WATERED. (AT THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY ATI WE TESTED THIS THEORY BY CREATING CONCRETE CYLINDERS AND COMPRESSING THEM IN A MEASUREABLE COMPRESSION MACHINE.
-
IS SOME dry concrete ok? Yes. When the post holes are filling with water we bail them out. The remaining we cant remove; we throw some dry in the post hole.
-
SOME REASONS WHY ARE: water veins, hit a sprinkler line, hit a old drain tile, its raining, ground is saturated
-
WE DO NOT prefer to pour concrete dry however our price will lower accordingly if requested.
ASK YOUR POTENTIAL CONTRACTOR :
- IF THEY MIX CONCRETE WITH WATER BEFORE THEY POUR?

IF YES:
- IS IT ACCEPTABLE IN THE COMMERCIAL INDUSTRY?
-WOULD AN ENGINEER APPROVE IT?
WE TREAT ALL OUR JOBS LIKE A COMMERCIAL OR INDUSTRIAL JOB.
